LG over Samsung always from experience. A lot of Samsung electronics have failed on me to ensure I don't buy these anymore.

Samsung's S90F is a bright QD OLED TV that stands out for punchy color, strong HDR performance, and especially good dark room picture quality. The 77 inch model is the QD OLED version, and the newer panel is often described as a step up for color luminance and overall impact. The main tradeoffs are no Dolby Vision, possible raised blacks in bright rooms, and some concern about Samsung panel quality and support. Pricing also appears inconsistent, with tax sometimes added at checkout and direct Samsung or open box options sometimes landing close to the deal price.

  • The S90F can suit daytime-heavy viewing when brightness matters more than perfect blacks.

    g0dM@nsandalphonus

  • The QD-OLED panel can deliver higher color volume brightness for more vivid highlights.

    MellowCatfish6336

  • Greentoe bidding can sometimes avoid sales tax, which can improve the effective checkout total.

    MellowCatfish6336

  • Samsung EPP pricing plus the Vision AI 10% discount link can bring the purchase price close to the deal level.

    Bankrupt

  • Sales tax may be added at checkout in some states, which can raise the total above the expected deal price.

    asvinpg0dM@n

  • The S90F lacks Dolby Vision support, which can matter for viewers who rely on DV content.

    g0dM@ntestuser123

  • QC or panel issues are a concern for the Samsung S90F.

    i_max2k2

  • Samsung warranty and repair handling can become difficult if the TV fails, including backordered parts and extended resolution timelines.

Greentoe allows people to sort of bid on an item and it gets accepted, declined, or countered. Your bid gets sent out to dozens of authorized LG retailers. Sometimes if a retailer has a sale like this they just have a buy option.

Typically you're not charged tax on Greentoe that has either changed very recently or it's just for this item/seller .. I'll update this post accordingly 👍

Ugh, they're charging tax. I'm in NY. Thought I'd get TOTAL price.
I'm going for it anyway. The C5 was just a few bucks more yesterday in another deal and I didn't bite. No dolby vision, but I think the brightness here is worth it for where I'll be using it.

I bit. Thanks OP!

Would be all over this if I didn't get a 77" G5 from the partner discount deal in October. This is a good deal for a mid-high end 77" QD OLED.
