For me, picture quality in dark environments is the most important, so I'd choose the S90F. Though C5 supports Dolby Vision, it can't display HDR colors nearly as well as the S90F.
If you're mainly watching in a brightly lit area, especially in SDR, then C5 is better. They have other differences as well, just depends on your priorities.
I have a feeling that as long as I don't put the C5 and S90F side by side (which I never will), I'd probably be impressed with either one.
Especially on the audio side.
With high quality content(physical media) ime LG(Sony) processes content more accurately.
Technically dynamic HDR is better and regularly physical media offers DV way more than HDR10+ ime.
From personal experience I would completely agree, you would only notice the subtle differences side by side.
As a matter of fact one of the best things you can do to take the most advantage of all this performance is have your display calibrated.
Just look at the pre & post calibration results on this comparison.
