Samsung's S90F is a bright QD OLED TV that stands out for punchy color, strong HDR performance, and especially good dark room picture quality. The 77 inch model is the QD OLED version, and the newer panel is often described as a step up for color luminance and overall impact. The main tradeoffs are no Dolby Vision, possible raised blacks in bright rooms, and some concern about Samsung panel quality and support. Pricing also appears inconsistent, with tax sometimes added at checkout and direct Samsung or open box options sometimes landing close to the deal price.

I ended up getting the LG C5 77" on greentoe when they countered with a decent price. Got it in a week. Love it!
How much you got it for? Any options to buy extended warranty?

Post above is why I buy appliances at SAMS club, HD, Lowes, AAFES, etc as their warranty and returns are a better experience. Walmart now sells appliances!

I have the 55" and 65" Sam's Club version of the OLED S90F TVs and at 90 days for the 55 with no issues.

77" LG-G5 is the same so far (will never buy another TV without a stand).

I initially had severe issues with delivery and Samsung + for a washer and dryer. It took 3 months to finally get most of it resolved.

Back to American made appliances the next time.

$1749, tax and shipping included. They have extended warranty options you can make offers on like their other products on the site

Yeah no Dolby Vision, equals outdated product. My A80J is like 4 years old and has the feature. Shame Samsung handicapped these nice OLEDs.

65" version now $1200 which is the going sales price I've been waiting for.

Still not sure if I trust this website though. Also shows no tax in IL...

if your state has sales tax, the vendor is REQUIRED to collect taxes. Doesn't matter what state you buy the item....................

any reason why?
I have the s90c and a c4. LG just does everything overall better imo. The Samsung is definitely brighter and punchier, but non-4k stuff does struggle.

Are there any US-made appliances any more (aside from very high-end brands)?

I believe that's just baked in the price.

You are negotiating an ALL IN price to be delivered to your doorstep. They don't have to accept.

Yes...Whirlpool...for one, under its various brands, makes some home appliances in the United States

I feel like you have it backwards. I was under the impression that the S90F does better in brightly lit, and the C5 better for night time.

I have a feeling that as long as I don't put the C5 and S90F side by side (which I never will), I'd probably be impressed with either one.
The lack of polarizer on the QD-OLEDs means that ambient light hitting it raises the blacks. So bad for a bright room. On the other hand the QD-OLED is also brighter, which is good for a bright room.

I looked at the S90F at Costco but didn't notice the raised blacks however. People say it's a problem if you have lighting conditions that have lights reflecting directly off the screen.

I'll be getting one myself but near the end of the month. I was set on the C5 until I spent about 15 minutes looking at both at Costco and couldn't see the raised blacks on the S90F while looking for them. The lack of Dolby Vision is mostly irrelevant with how bright these models are too.
