Had issues with a Samsung TV in the past, call kept getting redirected, was on the phone for 3+ hours, someone finally answered, then as I started to talk, they hung up on me.
It's still ongoing / unresolved as of 4th of Jan.
Back in November I ordered an LG TV through one of LG's online stores (partner/discount style storefront). The charge was a little over $1,000 and everything looked normal.
A while later the order page showed the order as "complete" with a delivery date, but the TV never showed up. No box, no delivery photo, nothing.
I contacted LG support and explained it was a non-delivery and they appeared to agree. I asked for one of two things: proof of delivery (carrier scan history, delivery confirmation, signature/photo if applicable) or a refund.
Here's where it got weird. Support kept framing it like a return. They told me the refund was "ongoing" but they were waiting for the TV to be returned to them first. But I never received it, so I can't return it. Whatever the carrier is doing with a shipment LG controls is between LG and the carrier, not me. I'm just the person who paid and never got the product.
To make it even more frustrating, they also sent return shipping instructions and a UPS tracking reference, as if the TV was in my house and needed to go back. Again, I don't have anything to ship.
Then they pivoted to "just reorder" and offered a promo code, while still holding my money from the original purchase. I told them I'm not spending another $1,000+ until the first charge is refunded. Even the promo code part was messy, first it didn't work, then it worked but wasn't even better than other codes.
So that's where I'm stuck: LG has my money for an order their system shows as delivered, I never got the TV, and they're telling me to wait until UPS "returns" it to them before they'll refund. That process is completely outside my control and has nothing to do with me.
TL;DR: TV never delivered, order marked complete, support won't refund because they're "waiting for UPS to return it", even though there's nothing I can return.
