While I've never owned this set, from everything I have read, this is absolutely the best tool "set" to buy under $100.00. Totally different quality than the Husky or Kobalt sets that go on sale every year for $99.00. Not knocking those, I'm just saying that this Dewalt set is awesome!
I'm sure someone else out there knows, but I don't think this particular Dewalt set has dipped below $100.00 for about 10 years.

Looks like a really good deal! Historical low per ccc. Usual price is 170 though not 290. Good reviews on average as well.

I use this as my travel tool kit with a roll of wrenches and a bag of screwdrivers/pliers for a full toolset if anything ever breaks on my motorcycle/UTV when traveling.

Yeah, no bits, and that's nice. But there are 28 hex wrenches that I'd call filler, and while the 17 hex and star sockets aren't quite filler, I'd say their usefulness is arguable, certainly that of the smaller ones - there's no driver in the set, and putting any ratchet torque on some of those itty bitty things is begging for trouble. Anyway, still fewer of those pieces than most other sets, the quality is good, and the price is excellent.

Yeah.... was hoping it went down to $99 last Christmas but had to buy for $174 with tax and shipping. Used the kit last month to winterize a yamaha f90 outboard and the month before to change head lamps in a F150. Nice tools and kit had a socket size I needed but didn't have in another kit. Like it so much I ordered 2 more sets for son and a summer home. The person knocking this set via a Farm Project review failed to mention the dewalt kit was a second place winner out of 10 brands video named "Best Tool Kit I've Ever Tested". Not the same Dewalt 192 piece referenced here, but seems to be the same tools in this kit. If there's another review by Farm Project of this kit...please link it.

Been wanting to get this set for a while. Finally ordered from Amazon the other day for $169 and it was delivered this afternoon. I hadn't opened the box and saw it posted here for $98.

Amazon is stupid for not doing price adjustments. Instead I ordered it again for $98 and am returning the one that was delivered today. It's a very heavy set. Such a waste of resources all around to have to return/rebuy instead of simply doing a price adjustment.
