Although this looks to be a Knipex knock-off, I would say its good. I have both, this and the Knipex and haven't tried their max limit to say which one is stronger, again I haven't broken any of my tools, knowing their limits and mine :-).

Ah okay thanks. At first I was wondering why a Knipex was so cheap. A knockoff makes sense then.

It's nice to see a rockwell hardness claim for these. The Knipex are stated to be ~61 on the hardness scale, harder than most things you would try to grab. They use induction hardening to specifically harden the teeth. ~These Workpro are 58-60, or about as hard as the edges on most properly heat-treated pocket knives. The teeth probably won't round out quickly, which is always my concern with cheap pliers. The Workpro weigh a little more, which is probably more material to keep them strong, since the metallurgy is probably not as dialed.

I generally don't abuse tools, but have managed to mangle or snap a couple pairs of pliers over the years. My Knipex Twin grips have seen almost 2 years in a crate shop, and are shared by 4 people. They are the most-grabbed pliers for removing errant nails. Besides the visual of being a little scuffed up and having wood glue on them, the teeth still look and bite like new. They have been used to bite some engineered deck screws, or to snap them off, but no fastener we've put them on has rivaled them for hardness so I expect they'll continue to last a decade or a lifetime.

Some might consider the Workpro for a beater pair, and they look really capable, but to be honest, the Knipex are the ones that can take a beating. Whatever tools you go with, be sensible, and use them well.
