Very practical when you use them on a smart plug scheduled for an hour at a time. Much safer than candles and works on old candles where the wick is in bad shape. You can also put wax warmers under them in an old candle glass
I'm slowly going through my partner's vast collection of scented candles with these (I got black versions for $10 each on a previous deal) and keeping the house smelling nice

Do the lights on these heat up the area beyond the lamp? Like if I put it on a piece of furniture is the area around it going to be discolored or damaged from the light or heat?

It is light. Not a laser beam. Of course some will spill over but it isn't a tanning lamp.
Okay, cause nobody's asking i'm gonna have to.Why do you need to warm your candles? When you light them up, don't they get warm all by themselves. Inspiring minds would like to know. No wonder we don't have a power grid seriously.

You are correct. This is basically so you get a "flameless" candle. You get the scent with out the open flame. Do I think it's practical? No, but who am I to judge, I buy a lot of unpractical things myself.

Same reason you warm up your car in the winter. They light faster when warmed! 😅

Definitely not energy efficient, but it turns that heat that would be normally wasted for light generation into generating fragrance from the candle. It's nice because you don't have to worry about getting a fine later of soot on everything. Idk about this one, but there are models that can turn themselves off after a fixed period of time.
