This is truly decadent caramel sauce, and this price is very good. S&S makes it better!

Basic caramel requires 2 ingredients: sugar and butter. Heat sugar in a sauce pan until it becomes a darkish brown, lower heat, and add 6 tbsp of room temperature butter. You can add heavy cream and salt for salted caramel sauce. Very simply and cheap to make, tastes better, and you actually have control over how bitter it is.

If you refine your own sugar and churn your own butter, you can control it even further. Anyway, I bought this last time for ice cream. Very tasty. I like the caramel chocolate flavor better though

States on the bottle to use within 3 weeks of opening. Too much to use in that little amount of time.

Not real caramel, FYI. Don't assume anything bc of the brand name.

True, but as I recall it is very easy to overheat and it is not very good then. worth a try though.

Yeah, bread is also just flour, water, yeast and salt. And tomato sauce is mostly, well, tomatoes. With some salt and spices. Yet people buy bread and tomato sauce all the time. Because it's more convenient and we'd rather spend time on something else.

Anyways, I bought this few months ago on a deal. It's better than I expected. Goes well with coffee and ice cream. Delicious on pancakes or crepes together with some sautéed or baked apples. Makes fancy drizzle for plain Greek yoghurt with some walnuts. Idk about 3 weeks, it's been sitting on the shelf for about 3 months at our house and seems perfectly fine to me. I don't get any artificial aftertaste from this one.

I was with you until you said pancakes or baked apples that's means you have already had the pan or stove on anyway.
