I like how they say:

Free Smartwatch Plan*

then you look at the terms and it says not yet supported. Is that even legal?
They're not gonna clamp down on that.Attachment 19198378

If I let my USM line expire on Dec 30 for example, would I qualify on Jan 1 or would I literally have to be a new customer.
i believe the latter

They say free network transfers but you are stuck on the ATT Dark star plan for the first year. Seems like false advertising to me.

iirc, they've said you have to be away 30 days before being considered a new customer previously.

The promotion is only for people going onto Dark Star network. This overrides the free network transfer deal because obviously if you got off Dark Star, you wouldn't be eligible for the promotion anymore.

Where can I find the exact current coverage strength for different networks like AT&T, T-Mobile, or Mint in my area?

That only works when seeing all three at the same time. I'll get some email with an offer on one network. (all three are not spelled out in the same communication).

I had to make myself a note of which mine is. So if I get an email, I look up mine in my notes. Have you noticed they don't send many offers for their Verizon network? So that's my easy way of knowing whatever they offer to me is not what I want. Big Grin

I do not approve of their purposeful obfuscation of the networks. Not cool.
Dark Star - Att
Warp - Verizon
Lightspeed - Tmobile

Best source would be the coverage map on each of the actual carriers' main sites, in case USM isn't as up to date. But you can just go to usmobile.com site and click NETWORKS right at the top, it isn't exactly hard to find. All three networks are pretty close in my area. Verizon, er Lightspeed, has the best data speeds but Warp (Tmo) has slightly greater coverage. Darkstar (AT&T) tends to be somewhere in between but is a solid choice and happens to have the best signal at my house, which was why I switched to that last year when we had a tornado and days-long power outage so I was off wifi. In most major urban/suburban areas all three are usually pretty good.
Light speed is TMobile, Verizon is warp, and darkstar is ATT. Just a heads up. You have warp and light speed mixed up.

I know how to get the information. I was complaining because I cannot retain it long-term, and they should not have made it into these "code words"

Edit: Now I realize the reason was based on the carriers not allowing USM to use their actual names because USM offers multiple carriers. Petty, but makes sense. At least it wasn't done on a whim based on some marketing strategy. That part of it was the next best thing they could do.
Reps to user IhtSD for enlightening me. I should have Googled for the reason.
