I have this monitor currently. It looks great and the matte finish is excellent with reflections/glare, but it's not great for work use as the "pearling" from the matte finish is pretty noticeable when the screen is light colors/white. If I don't get used to it by the time the return period ends I'll try something else.
I also tried the LG-32GX850A-B, had to return it as it's just too reflective, also tried the alienware aw3225qf had to return it because it's reflective but also seemed to bother my eyes and suffer text fringing the LG did not, which is a shame as I prefer curved at this size I assume it bothered me because it's qd oled vs woled of the LGs.
The LG-32GX870A-B is excellent for gaming and media...it's office style work it suffers from the matte finish. The speakers are absolute farking garbage though, so definitely don't count on those being good for anything.
Edit: should also be noted CES 2026 is in like 2 weeks and all the new monitors are going be there and specs. Some of the details have already been released, so these older models are likely to get cheaper soon. This is already another $52 off the $867 I got it for like 12 days ago or so, and much cheaper than the $999 sale on BF week.

Very tempted. But new gen Oled is around the corner or I'd buy this. Been wanting to change from my ultra wide 1600p to a 4k 32 inch monitor. But the 39 inch 5k2k coming soon is also enticing. Ultra wide for gaming is so much more immersive. Need to be patient and have options.
I'm considering a 42" C5 OLED over this monitor. The price is very similar and at times, the same. What would be some considerations that should stop me from getting a TV instead?
For whatever it's worth, I have the 42" C4 then bought the Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240Hz gaming monitor, thinking it would be superior, but I ended up returning the Alienware. I'm now of the philosophy that once you go 42" OLED you don't go back... and 144Hz is good enough for me....For now
Samsung one G81SF is $650, EDU account + using samsung app, + you get free 24 inch monitor.
I have it, it's good, only thing I'm not a huge fan is the silver bezels. Would like to get the LG one but $800 to much imo
QD-OLEDs have an issue with black raise in pretty much ANY ambient light and that particular model has the worst application of an anti-reflection coating I have ever seen. I hated the one I got and ended up selling it for this LG. WOLED is better than QD-OLED until it solves the black level raise issue in ambient light or becomes obsolete from Tandem RBG allowing the same color volume as QD-OLED without the black level raise issue.

I used a 42" C5 as a monitor (productivity and gaming) for a day and decided to return it after that. Brightness bounces around, uniformity is not great at times, color dithering sucks when sitting at monitor range, typical power control (suspend/resume) doesn't work, and text/border fringing was bad. I was hopeful but there were just too many compromises. I'm looking forward to the RGB OLED monitors LG is releasing in 2026.

Thanks, the brightness bouncing around is definitely a major setback especially when it can only be adjusted at the firmware level. I guess there weren't many OLED gaming monitors to choose from when the 2022 C2's were released. It's certainly not the case today and this 32 inch OLED seems like a good price point.

It's my understanding that the LG OLED panels up through the C3 series were much more up to the task. Things went downhill after that (at least for PC monitor usage.)
