No. These aren't the plus model with better accessories. To answer your first question, yes they're worth it. I've owned these for a few months now and I love them. Gimmick features aside they sound great.
youre kidding right. no seriously, please let those who are actually considering these that you are being sarcastic. for the love of God let us in on the joke.
How about you enlighten me on how MY OWN OPINION must be a joke? I'm no audiophile. Just an average user and that's fine. You don't agree with it that's fine too. But to call my opinion a joke? You're a dunce.
Let's take a lil excerpt from here. Just from the sound. Because that whole, old, review takes everything into consideration. Including value, which was $800 at the time. Not $200. SO just focusing on audio, let's see what he says. "How they sound is a difficult question to answer, not because the headphones perform poorly, but because the nature of their dual-purpose design lets them down — so your results will never be as good as isolated measurements. In the lab, the Dyson Zone Absolute Plus measures roughly how you'd want it to from a frequency response standpoint, but the loud air filter causes problems here, too. This can lead to elements of music getting masked and your overall experience varying wildly. As much as I want to be fair-minded here and consider that these headphones are meant to be a personal air filter first and headphones second, the near-kilobuck price tag means these cans have much to prove.I regularly chastise products for doing something great and then tossing it out the window with a boneheaded decision, and this is one of those times. Dyson could take the Dyson Zone Absolute Plus, junk the air filter, reduce its mass by using more plastic, and have a potentially good set of headphones on their hands."That last line lead to the Dyson OnTracs. Let's look some more."My time with the Dyson Zone Absolute Plus was mixed, as I really did find the sound quality without the air filter running to be fine. But everything falls apart when you use the Dyson Zone Absolute Plus's unique selling point (the air filter). I liked the Neutral EQ setting at home, which is no surprise, given that it's somewhat similar in response to the Beyerdynamic DT 880 and DT 1990 PRO. Listening to tracks like Joji's "Glimpse of Us" left me missing my home setup, but technically, there wasn't any glaring deficiency. And that's the headline here: these headphones are alright. Not several hundred dollars good, but okay.Aside from a noticeable peak in the highs, the sound was quite… boring. But in audio, "boring" simply means that the sound isn't weird, offensive, or notable in other ways — and that's good. Usually, when discussing audio quality, we focus on where the headphones fall short, so if there's little to talk about, that's not bad. But with headphones, the fit can have an impact even if the technical performance is good. I found that even though the super-deep padding handled my glasses well, having to readjust the position of the headphones constantly meant that getting the best result was tricky."Hmmm. So even this reviewer says for average people, they'd be fine. We're done here. Dunce.

well perhaps youre right. if you like them then great. maybe I took issue with the qualifier of "theyre worth it". anyways enjoy them, but in private. I sense a fragile ego there that Im not sure the public ridicule wearing these r2d2 cans could survive
Bought these for $150 late November from Woot! I have been using these on my desktop and they work well.
The good:
1. Despite its heft, it does not feel heavy because of its superb cushioning.
2. Noise cancelling for office and causal gaming has been great. Double tap the left ear-cup to activate
3. The carry case is large and hardshell and includes a soft cloth bag as well as usb C cable and headphone jack adapter.
4. Sound feels nice, not $800 nice but definitely worth the $150. I dont feel its any less than the Airpods Max.
5. Dyson app also shows some limited air quality data on it once the air filters are installed
The not so good:
1. They are comically large and ostentatious on your head.
2. I never used the air purifier system simply because it drained the battery pretty quickly and its gimmicky at best.
3. Virtually no sound profiles or custom controls and settings on the app
4. No multipoint BT
Overall for the price its still great as long as you dont care about the air purifier thing or try and run with these on
