I'd say as always check your saw/bar before just assuming the brand/size is correct.

I've have an 18" kobalt 80v for years. Saw a green works 80v with 4ah batt gonon sale, same specs as my kobalt. Bought it.

They changed the size of everything, different pitch & links, despite what the website specs say.
I even called, and the dumb agent is like, yeah whatever is in the box is correct.
I did open up the side to verify the sprocket etching match the new bar/chain size.

So long story, now I need to collect new chains.

Bought a 3 pack of the Neo-Tec R56 chains when they were on sale. If you are expecting these to perform like Oregon chains, you will be disappointed. They required sharpening soon after I started cutting with each chain. Once sharpened, they cut fine, but they dull faster than Oregon chains, and they stretch faster as well. So, you save money, but you spend time sharpening and adjusting for stretch. Personally I would not buy them again because I HATE having to stop in the middle of cutting to sharpen, and Oregon delivers a much better experience in that regard. As for the reviews for this brand on Amazon (the reason I gave them a try in the first place, along with the price), I find the glowing reviews to be HIGHLY suspect (paid for?) in retrospect. I also doubt their claim of "German steel" and "Japanese cutters". These chains are made in China, so take their claims about sourced materials with a grain of salt.

I was pretty suspicious that was going to be the case, so it's good to hear from someone with experience.
