Not a bad price I guess but keep in mind this is a cost reduced version of an older low to mid end router. IIRC this has less ram, less flash a slower processor and no USB port. Buying something this old and this budget seems like a bit of a waste at this point.

Can you recommend a better router for 50$? No? Also keep in mind 98% of people out there don't own anything that's WiFi 7 compatible outside of their brand new smart phone. Printers. Smart lights etc still use WiFi N (WiFi 4) so the upgrade to WiFi 7 doesn't make any sense. WiFi 6 is just barely making a dent in the smart home device space. So as far as cheap routers goes this blows the doors off of let's say something from TP link in the 60$ range.

I bargin hunt wifi 6 stuff tech. mostly mesh systems. its dirt cheap and if you good get hardware its amazing.
i used to rock orbi. but soon as wifi 6 dropped netgear decided orbi were for bigger spender only. I replaced a orbi ac3000 with a deco x68 tri band and while its faster the reliability sucks so bad. so i upgraded to deco x5700 which has been good. I dont care for tplink but sometimes they prices cant be beat. I find renewed ones for next to nothing.

call me old school but i prefer a good triband set up over dual band wifi 7. triband wifi 7 sounds ideal if you 6ghz can actually maintain a solid backhaul.
also if you got wifi 7 dual band and u cant use dfs channels ur over paying forsure.

If I really want or need a cheap router I'd probably go used/refurb. I haven't had any problems with used routers personally. Locally I see two listings for a AX86U (AX5700) for $60 and an AX300 v2 for $30. I did pick up an RT-AX11000 a while back for $50. If price is that important, used is generally going to provide better value.

Where do you see a Ax3000 v2 for $30? Could you please provide a link?

I have the ax3000 and it's been solid for over 3 years now. This is the 3000s, that supposedly is a newer model, but not usb is a killer for me.

I was talking used/refurb so those were just what I saw on my local facebook market place but I've seen many listings like that over time. Seem to be plenty of people upgrading to 6E or 7 and selling their older stuff for cheap.

So this can be added as a node to an AIMesh network right?

Yes it is AI Mech compatible. Unless you hardwire it being dual band will limit the performance potential but for most people it's still plenty to surf and stream stuff. Big downloads will probably take a bit longer unless you've got pretty slow internet.
