For those that play pickleball (with outside surface, not the gym crap) basketball shoes work great. I've been using the curry shoes...and have been way more durable than asics tennis shoes).

I bought a pair when Adidas had them really cheap last year and they are extremely comfortable. I have flat, wide, Daffy Duck feet and they're still great. Way more comfortable than any retro Jordans or even the Boost 350 V2's I've had. They look kinda cool in some colors and a little weird in others.

Brand and marketing aside, are there any better basketball shoes for someone who occasionally hits the gym to shoot around for sub $50? If so what are your recommendations. I had some Nike basketball shoes from kohls that were $40 and I slid around the court, also the upper was uncomfortable in lateral movement. How are these for basketball?

Funny part is after developing tendonitis, having special inserts made, etc. my primary focus is now comfort. I'd today wear toilet seats on my feet as shoes if they were comfortable.
