I see now that the specifications on this monitor are actually outstanding.

Over 50% off and you were looking for a better price?

Edit: Sorry and take it back. Wish I could just delete. Doing a little more research and this price is NOT special.

Gotta reverse the order of these actions here.

It's getting cheaper because newest model dropping at CES fixes all the problems they've had. Higher quality, more pixels, better screen coating, less dim, etc. Lots of LG oled monitor returns due to these peculiarities.
The LG oled monitors are beautiful but have had issues compared to the past few gens of TVs

It seems excessive but it's not really, when in use. I have the 39" of this monitor and that curve makes it perfect for me. I can see all areas easier than with a less curved one. I previously had an acer predator 34" with less curve and it was good, but this is miles better. My only gripe is that it's not quite as bright as I feel it should be. I have a samsung 34" oled and it's much brighter. But I prefer the real estate and curve of the 39" more so I use it.
An odd thing I noticed, after using this for awhile and then looking at a flat screen monitor next to it, the flat screen looks like it's curved in the opposite direction, like the corners curve away from you instead of toward you. I guess that's due to the curve on this one but I'm a believer in 800r. I'll stick with it as long as they make them with this curve radius.

Found the person who's never actually used an 800R curve for productivity. LUL.

I've got the 39 of this, wish I got the 34. Lovely monitor. Just feel like 34 is the sweet spot for me size wise for a curved

I have this monitor after buying from Costco. The text looks bad from pixellation but eventually you'll get used to it. Yellows look dull and you can really see the yellow edges are slightly green because of the subpixel layout.
It's OLED but I should have just gotten a better 4K IPS for the same money. Gamers won't notice, it's the productivity people who will get bothered the most.

LG is releasing some models in 2026 that are only RGB (not RBWB) so text and colors will be improved.

Are you going into the HDR settings in W11 and making the screen brighter? There is a setting for this. I have had an alienware 27" asus 27" and aoc 32" all QD OLED. The 27" screens looks to me and my preference too dim, the 32" was passable. Then I found you can go into windows and make the HDR screen brighter. It set to 50% by default. The alienware 27" is the newest version, 280hz 1440, it was so dim it was laughable. Adjusting it in windows made it slightly better. The issue is they were so dim the OLED colors did not pop off the screen. The AOC I have looks like the difference between using a old TV on standard definition and picking up your first 1080p TV with a real clean HD signal.

I also have the 39-in version of this monitor and I absolutely love love love the curve. It is perfect and now I'm never going to want to monitor without it. I use mine for both productivity and gaming. I always have two windows open side by side so I don't have issues with the curve that much in Excel and actually don't even notice it.

You can also just turn HDR off for normal window stuff and have HDR only play for videos and gaming. I use HDR All the time and increase the brightness in Windows and I don't have any trouble.
