I am paying for Amazon. But it looks like they are monopole. It looks like it will be a good thing to start buying somewhere else. I would rather buy these one at Lowe's
This is an important detail I left out. Just my personal opinion but anything past 24in will deflect under heavy clamping. Not the hd version. I personally regret getting any of them in nonhd versions
(insert reply about too much clamping force squeezing glue out)

100%. They also laid off thousands of jobs shortly before the holidays (citing AI)

IIRC, while I'm sure it's more nuanced and that there are seasonal exceptions, it's basically because it's in the Amazon fulfillment contract that you can't MSRP elsewhere for less than what a seller directly lists on Amazon. If another retailer wants to take a hit on that same product, that's on them. But it's basically why you can't just go direct to sellers and get a better price as you'd expect given they'd otherwise ostensibly be able to price without the fees and commission.
In short, you likely won't save much money diverting from Amazon, but you'd give the seller the fees they'd otherwise be losing to Amazon. That matters to some people on a conscientious level. To others it doesn't.
I got a few of these from Lowes recently, same price, same clamp. True, I can see it flex if you go the full max but as long as it doesn't slip, you're still applying a fair amount of force... unless your application requires a HD version.
Even if the bar deflects a little (especially on the 36"), it's not like that is going to matter in 99% of situations. If you squeeze too hard, you'll starve the joint of it's glue.
If you had some kind of no-flex requirement, you would probably use a "pony-clamp" on some 3/4" blackpipe
