It's very specifically a turn-based Tactical RPG, which is kind of like more complex chess, to simplify it.

It's a streamlined XCOM style game, but based on Persona 5 (which is an actual turn based JRPG). If you don't know Persona 5, this one probably is not a game you'd want to bother with.
