Remember all these tools are non fuel versions and are their older model tools. If your going to spend this much there's no need for the crappy old drill and impact, flashlight and blower. You'd be better off getting the core tools in fuel and call it a day

If you're just getting into a kit, go with Ridgid. They offer "lifetime warranty" on tools, chargers AND batteries through their Lifetime Service Agreement. Provided you register within 90 Days. Then ensure you reregister when replacements are given to continue the LSA. Ridgid is sold by Home Depot and Direct Tool outlet. Ensure you purchase only New or "Blemished" tools/accessories from DTO to qualify for LSA.

Fyi - Ryobi, Ridgid (portable power tools) and Milwaukee are all made by the same company, TTI.

If you already are with a different brand, purchasing and registering Ridgid batteries and using them in a Ridgid to brand X battery adapter purchased via eBay is another way to save on long term costs.

These are the crappiest models in the Milwaukee line up. I have no idea why they even sell these.

Either buy the top tier fuel versions (on sale), consider Rigid, or if on a very tight budget buy the middle to upper end of the Ryobi line.

While nearly all of my milwaukee tools are the fuel versions, I would not call the non-fuel "crappy." These are still high quality tools, just not the latest/greatest.

The base / entry model Milwaukee tools I've purchased recently are crap compared to the Fuel and non-Fuel brushless tools I've also purchased... These (non-brushless) legacy tools don't have anywhere near the torque specs nor build quality compared to current gen 2 / 3 fuel and other brushless tools.

As mentioned by others - The current generation mid/upper tier Ridgids and the upper tier Ryobis are a better value and similar or better quality than these 6+ year old Milwaukee legacy tools.... the newer brushless designs have really changed the portable power tool world.

Get Rigid instead of these crappy low end tools.

Most people looking at these aren't contractors. If all the offered tools look useful to your life, get em. I own all levels of all these tools and for the average person taking care of some tasks, it's immaterial if you get these or the fuel. Again, I own fuel and some of the base models, own ridgid for 25 years, many Ryobi. They all get it done, few if any break. these guys eviscerating these for not being fuel models need to qualify that as in 'for their life, their tastes.' having said that, fuel are great, but twice the coin. If you're not a pro, hard core contractor, you ain't burning out these older Milwaukee tools. and if you do, you got many times the value for what you paid.
