Pretty good price and ivanky is legit. Only a few bucks more than gambling on USB 4v2 cables that may or may not be certified.

(80 gbps cables are the same as 120gbps; 120gbps is just the unidirectional mode that uses some of the return lanes for output instead.)

You're being gullible to them just throwing around the phrase "Intel certified"
No I'm aware that it's likely not certified but ivanky has been one of the more consistent ones in actually selling cables that meet spec so it's slightly less of a gamble than with many of the other random brands.

That being said there are some cable reviews/test for random Aliexpress cables on youtube if you wanted to find something cheaper that's been tested.

EDIT: TB certifcation https://www.thunderbolttechnology...cable-1m-0

all USB-C "thunderbolt 4" cables have been hit or miss (mainly misses) the data transfer speeds aren't real for all the cables I've purchased from amazon.
That being said, I'm cheap so I'll give this cable a shot.
I had a cal-digit USB-C thunderbolt 4 dock and it came with a high speed cable and it worked fantastic as expected.
I hope this cable is legit.

Coupon worked only on the second try for me. Showed an error on the first click, never had that happen before.

err, this may be a dumb question...but wont ivanky get sued for selling a intel certified cable without it being a certified cable?

I don't think a lot of the Chinese brands are afraid of litigation.

Third option is to look for equivalent USB 4v2 cables (they'll say 80 or 120gbps, same thing). The USB-IF certification database is public so you can search to see if it's actually certified, vs Intel's, which is not public.
i figured i've heard of ivanky for a while now, so might be one of the brands who'd be hurt more by selling fake cables.

True enough.

Looks like it is certified (at least the 1m length) https://www.thunderbolttechnology...cable-1m-0

Do be aware of bait and switch for the longer lengths (over 5ft) since a lot of companies will certify the shorter lengths and then lump the listings so it seems like the longer lengths are also certified.

USA is gonna get cooked. I saw these Gen 5 cables sold in CCP China for only 17 yuan (about $2.43 USD), and once they're shipped to the US, they become $17. I do have few with me, they run 80G without any problem.
No US company can make these cables anymore. That's BAD.

Honestly, it is more likely than not to be Intel certified. Did Ivanky do it themselves? LOLNO.

But the common CCP "factory" probably did. Intel really guards Thunderbolt certification and sends takedowns to Amazon much more reliably than, say MFi, for example.

But they are like $1.50 to make.

Pretty decent price for Thunderbolt 5 connectivity. I paid $26 for my CableMatters 1M TB5 cable in October of 2024. $17 is solid.
