The deal "looks good". is what they were saying.
It is a good deal. And yes, it is mayo-like. This is a well-known fact, so I have no idea why they bother to state the obvious. Better than mayo for most things, IMO.
But some prefer mayo. To each their own.

Stuff like this is usually better when you buy it in-person at a trusted supermarket. When you cut corners, don't be surprised when things don't work right.
