I have this for a couple years, no double click issue unlike my old Corsair that just happened to have the double click issue right after warranty ended

Ok guys, way too many mice at good prices:

502x
502Hero
309Lightspeed
305Lightspeed

For an adult male with decent sized hands, I suspect the 309 and 305 may feel a smidge small for me. The 502x scares me a little with all the freaking buttons I probably don't need. Is the 502 the best way to go for a casual gamer/mostly productive use? Any experts weigh in on this? The reviews I've read list a lot of positives for them all, and I don't feel like testing 4 mice and returning. Any expert advice would be appreciated.
I've had several 502 Hero mice that developed the double click issue after significant use, but they are worth it for only $36 on sale. I upgraded to the 502x this time to see if the new switches last longer, but I haven't had it long enough to reach a conclusion. If it doesn't last longer I might try an MX Master or just go back to the 502 Hero. I really like the sniper button and quick DPI adjustment so it might be hard to lose those on the master.

It's also super rattley and hollow sounding despite having so much plastic inside.
yes but its the price you pay for the weight, and once you get used to it the old g502 feels like a lead brick.

Well actually, the new one has a lot of excess plastic. The echo comes from the way they designed the top shell "fingers" for clicking. I also think this one feels like a lead brick haha.

Ya you gotta take it apart. It's like a solid block of plastic inside.

I guess that's nice, would be harder to make that way, to justify the cost

I looked up a tear down
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1BGxbEQfxo very over engineered inside, which is probably a good thing, justifies its cost
