I picked this up about a year ago for $300. Solid soundbar/sub combo. I can't speak for the Virtual X or anything but the basics of the out-of-box settings that work best for our layout, but it can get plenty loud, the sub (which has a +/- 6 bass level variance setting) is not set past "0" because that level is plenty. This will not compete with the Q900 series, but is definitely a big bang for the buck product, perfect for someone that wants a single output source with a sub without breaking the bank.

At $150, this would be a solid deal...

Thoughts on this vs. Sony HTA-3000? I got the Sony for a steal and the sound is certainly much better than TV speakers but it feels a little underwhelming. I'm wondering if a unit with a dedicated sub would make a big difference.

Is B650F an improvement over B650? Perplexity is telling me that the older B650 has more speakers.
