Too bad I don't need one. I have a Sunbeam electric blanket I bought in 1981 that still works. I like the brand.

I have a Sunbeam heated blanket and it works but the controllers are an annoying blue color which has to be the worst for any controller when considering you don't want to be blinded in bed or stare at blue lights all night. We end up turning the controllers upside down. These controllers look the same.

I'll have to make sure my wife doesn't see this, because she will want it and then it'll sit in my closet for 11 months.

Are you talking about the same brand-model?

My wife could use this instead of me to keep warm, It would be so bad except she feels like your laying next to a fire she puts off so much heat

I also previously tried a Sunbeam version where you could feel the wires. Can anyone comment on this version or is it the same issue?

This is true on many models including my much more expensive serta heated mattress pad. However, if you install your regular mattress pad over the electric mattress pad, it should eliminate the feeling of the wires and still give you excellent heat on both your feet and torso. I've been using electric mattress pads for 25 years including currently on eight different mattresses.

Wires in quilted versions are less noticeable. Wires run with the quilt seams
