The RT100 stands out for its typing feel, sound, and playful built in screen, with the FN layer macro feature adding useful extra control. The compact layout is easy to like once adjusted to the shorter length, and the south facing LEDs are a drawback for shine through keycaps. The bigger concerns are software and quality control, including buggy drivers, mode switching, loose switch contacts, and wireless sleep behavior that can miss keystrokes. That makes it a quirky board with real appeal, but also enough reliability issues to watch closely.

I bought one for $50 in November. It took me some time to find the driver because the driver from the website couldn't detect the device on my computer. But once it worked, the experience has been really good. I don't know why the reviews are so bad. In my opinion, it's a decent mechanical keyboard. The feel, the sound, and the small features are all good. The screen is quite fun, and the FN layer macro function in the driver is also very useful. Anyway, Amazon allows returns, so you can buy one and give it a try.
Another issue I hate about their wireless mode put the keyboard into sleep way too often. Then at wake up it always misses the second key that I type. So annoying.

I guess it might be to compensate for the power consumption issue of the small screen? It seems that this screen consumes more power than an LED backlight.
