I love bone conductive headphone for running, but I am over Shockz

I bought some knockoff ones from Amazon and they are 95% as good for $25.

I use these for Teams calls regularly, the mic works well. Got them at Sam's club, might still be cheaper there in store if you have a membership.

These are the open run pro …. Not the open run pro 2. Triple check the Amazon listing…

I'm trending the other way. Amazed by shokz but thought they were too expensive. Brought knockoffs but didn't sound as good. Brought better knockoffs. Two broke in under a year. Shopping for open pro 2 sale.

I got some waterproof bone conducting headphones for Christmas and they just aren't loud enough to hear in noisy situations. I wanted them to wear in the pool or while riding my ebike. Are they all like that or should I try a different brand?

"Loud enough" depends on the situation. Since they don't encapsulate or insert into your ears, the level of ambient noise effects the sound level of these quite a bit. I've been surprised that I had my OpenRun Pro 2s almost all the way up while riding my e-scooter to overcome the wind noise. However, they should still be loud enough to hear reasonably well. If your pair has separate ear pieces, try a pair like these; the conduction is better with firmer grip. I've also only had Shokz, so it may be worthwhile to get a name brand.

You sound like one of these who say that OpenSwim sounds as good as OpenRun Pro 2.
Any headphones are fine for podcasts.

Thanks, based on your tip I got the original Pros open box excellent condition for just under $60. My first experience with bone conduction, liking them so far.
