Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Love this stuff and buy it all the time but this isn't a deal. Was $1.99 and the deal is $1.99? So..... normal price? Often it's like 2 for just over $2.
The 18 Ounce is a better deal at $0.24/oz. I don't get a discount with S&S as I don't have enough items.
I was just at my local H-Mart the other week and checked on price.
The 8oz jar was $3.99
The 18oz jar was on sale at $4.98 (Reg. $5.99 = $0.333/oz), so this is a good deal.

Maybe the bottle? or bottle and product? California lawmakers are lazy and stupid. If they are willing to create laws, then they need to specify where the the poison is, otherwise, they need to be defunded. Idiots!
How could there be lead in this California Product??? We need to demand the governor of California to fund lead cleanup of this product, otherwise, California needs to shut up.. either California shutup or put out! Is this product really grown and produced in California??

Huy Fong brand is dead to me. MSNBC did a great video on it years ago. The son-in-law got an MBA and thought he was a genius tactician: he flagrantly breached contract, telling Underwood Farms to double pepper production and then cancelled the order; the inference was that he tried to bankrupt the supplier to then undercut them. It led to a few years of shortage while they tried to find another supplier with the same flavor. Now their flavor is too sharp. Huy Fong lost the lawsuit, badly. Underwood sells their own Sriracha which is close to the original but a little spicier.

It's because the huy fong guy and the guy who supplied the chilies for decades got into a fight. Same reason why huy fong sriracha isn't good anymore.
