If you aren't an "artificial sweetener and additives are the devil" person, these are one of the better shakes on the market. Low calories, good protein content, decent vitamin and mineral blend. And most of the flavors aren't too bad. I've had a couple that were kinda iffy, but it was more about the flavor and not the texture. I use these all the time, and any time there is a sale on them, I usually pick them up.
That being said, this is really not a good price, so I wouldn't be buying this particular "deal".

Would picking s&s make it a good priced deal ($21.75 for 12)?

I usually shoot for $20 or less. I probably wouldn't pick them up at that price unless there was a rebate or something. For example, around Christmas, Amazon had a spend $40 get $10 in Amazon credit. I put in two orders for two 12-packs of vanilla and caramel that came out to $36 and $40 after S&S. With the credits that will bump them down to $26 and $30 respectively, so only $13 and $15 per 12-pack for that particular deal.
