Really want the fans with light pods and chains to go on sale. I hate remotes personally

I need to replace 3 hunter fans, these are perfect. I have a question if anyone with electrical knowledge could help out. My current setup has a wall switch which is the slide type with 3 positions; off, slow speed, high speed. Should I be able to control these this way instead of using the remote? My switch actually has 4 positions but only 3 work...

Doesn't seem like it has DC motor. Absolutely no light included either.

Semi-related. I replaced a fan in the living room a couple of days ago and the lights were just way too dim compared to the fan i replaced. What a pain its going to be to remove and install a new fan.

We lost our master bedroom remote 10 years ago and it's discontinued, plus all the universal retrofits are a PITA. I'm 100% on board with pull chains Smilie

I'm also wondering this for my situation, but it appears to only include a 3 in. downrod, despite some of the photos

Would this work for a 20' ceiling in an open room?
