Make sure to remove the speaker from your air tag if you are using it for anti theft.

Not sure I am following. Why would buying new fake airtags every few years be an alternative to this extended battery case?

I have these for some Airtags that are hard to access (hidden in cars/motorcycles) where size doesn't matter but having them last for an extended period is a huge benefit. They work great for that purpose, but it does destroy the weight/size of an Airtag for most uses.

That is clever. But it costs the same as getting the Chinese brand tags on Amazon every few years. This should close to $6 to make aense

Just for reference, the listing says these extend the Airtag battery life 14x. That's a lot of screwing around with Chinese tags. Thanks, but I'll do it once and forget about it

Oh, I just gotta hear your logic as why this should be "close to $6 to make sense". Do tell.

Expensive batteries are not included. Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries (4 Pack) cells are $11.39. (2 Pack) is $8.95

I returned these after being excited to use them. These require the AirTag to be opened and connected to the case's dummy battery, but there was no way to screw it in and the case was too large to properly hold down the AirTag itself for connection without additional steps like taping.

You mean fake air tags that don't use a huge global userbase that is required to actual locate your missing items? Good luck with that

Not to mention, I'm guessing Apple (or Samsung) air tags are slightly more reliable, have better range, and don't have janky apps that steal your info (well they still do, but only some info....not all of it)

Not to mention, replacement batteries are less than continuing to buy new, crappy, Chinese Airtag knockoffs.
