Fun game but massive stability issues recently. Been unable to play on my 9800x3D + 5070Ti without the game fully locking up and freezing my PC. Doesn't happen with any other game, and is not an uncommon issue across hardware configs (check Reddit and steam)

From someone who has dumped over 600 hours into this game, it can be VERY addictingly fun. I have been playing since launch and the game has had it's ups and downs, but the developers are very reactive to player feedback. The game does have some performance issues, but the Devs are actively working on it. They recently released a couple of large bug fix and optimization updates that helped quite a bit. They have stated that there will be more coming in the short term future.

The game does have a premium store that uses paid currency. However, that currency can be obtained simply by playing the game.

I bought it during the Summer Sale and find it boring. I have less than 2 total hours of gameplay ever since. Compared to Arc Raiders, I find that addicting and fun to play.

Did you download the new beta slim version?

Most of my problems are gone. I've had one random crash and I think it was because of a background application or a bad OC. But it only happened once.

I played arc raiders for 30 seconds actually and I have to say it's a terrible game. the game is literally 50% inventory management. Died and want to jump back in immediately with decent stuff? too bad, no loadouts. want to build that one thing?? ahhh sorry, you're missing a one cent piece of metal. found someone to play with? too bad, they lied about being friendly and just wanted to ruin your session! great fun!

Helldivers 2 is much more addicting and fun to play, has more weapons, maps, can literally calls missiles from the sky, enemy variety, 4 player coop (great if you have 4 friends), many cosmetics that can be freely obtained, ship upgrades, and nothing that requires you to "reset your character" to artificially increase the game's replayability. You also don't have to deal with the culture of toxic streamers. it's also a proven live service game from developers who are actively participating in the community.

I think helldivers wins honestly. i think you should find a 4th friend.

fun game at first and then the grind becomes too grindy. i was playing this every day till it got too much. i took a break and haven't gotten back to it. They have a new update on the way for enemies which might have me check it out.

Remember when PUBG was the biggest game in the world? Yeah. I don't buy games until they are $10 or less so I miss out on all the hype around MP only games. But they all do have a life span and then are long forgotten. Except maybe CS.

Except they're not long forgotten. A vast majority of MP only games have lifelong players, especially big ones like PUBG. Even when MP games with dedicated servers shut down, fans find a way to bring them back. Just look at the Dreamcast.

Yeah I was exaggerating to point out how ridiculous it is to play such a huge game and have a judgement in under 2 hours. I've put 100 hours into arc before quitting it. It's become homework.

You gotta play with friends. A lot of these live service games are just grinds. The least we can ask for is variety.
