So the power 'delivery' is actually (up to) 80 watts? Poor translation or purposely deceptive wording, we'll never know
Do you think these things run without power?
This work like a docking station to connect a laptop and couple of monitors? My new job didn't provide one for home use.

Not to mention, "dEliVeRy InPuT" doesn't exist....unless you think you can deliver something before it comes in?
And lets not even talk about the power loss you clearly aren't taking into account...unless you think this is the first 100% efficient device on the planet?
What HDMI do you think is being "encoded?"
(your snark....3x)
My office provides a Dell D6000 dock that is similar to this one, and it works with my work laptop, home mini-PC, and (Android) Samsung Galaxy S24 phone (DeX mode). Lower end Samsung models like Galaxy A15 can use the hub for peripherals like phone and keyboard, but they don't support HDMI. Higher end models like S24 can use HDMI over USB.
It may not matter to most people, but the refresh rate on almost every USB dock is limited to 60 Hz. If I connect my mini-PC to my monitor directly via DisplayPort, I get 165 Hz. My dock has 1 Gbps Ethernet, but one day I'd like to upgrade to 2.5 Gbps.
On a more practical level, I wish docks had way more USB-A ports, but I got a cheap 7-port USB-A hub to power three USB lights, watch charger, and earbud charger. However, I still need USB-A ports for keyboard, mouse, webcam, and printer.
