Anyone have thoughts on using this on laminate wood flooring? I googled around but not smart enough to decipher if it will be ok on the flooring. lol

These are designed for such floors, should be okay. Avoid anything like a Steam Mop.
(Have used it myself for over a year regularly on laminate)

If it's not, just use 2 and overlap them on the middle slots. This is what we did until we ran out of that pack. Then I bought a large reusable pad at $1.50 and up tree.
