If you don't mind last years models, you can get some really good open box deals. I got a 65 inch c4 in November for around 400. Store near me had 65 inch s90ds for less than 500 right before Christmas. The other day I got a 42 inch s90d for 240.

I just bought a 42 inch Sharp Aquos for 25 bucks used and it shows a beautiful picture. I can't imagine a better picture.
