This has the larger carbon filter with the pellets. I have had the old model for 5 yrs and it's still my favorite.

I thought the wifi was a gimmick but it is nice to have it turn off and on auto.

Had the old version. Ow for like 3 years. Have it running 24/7 on medium and not one single squeak or issue.

I have 3 Winix units, including one running 12hrs/day for the last 15 years. Zero noise out of any of them.

damn. continously running on medium for yrs? thats like running on override mode. why didnt you let it run on auto?

We have 4 Winix units, 2 of the newer C545's and 2 older C535's. On one of the C535's in service since 2019, the motor started rattling after just over 4 years of use and yes it's a known problem with the C535's, so much so there's youtube videos explaining how to fix it. Take it apart which is a bit of a pain and tighten the screws that hold the motor in place as they can come loose over time causing the motor wheel to hit as it spins. Perhaps not the same noise CoolNose mentions but it is an issue that you can fix yourself. Other than that on just one of them, no issues except for that the HEPA filters for these may be suspect given the Class Action lawsuit filed against Winix a couple months ago.

That was the winix 5510 this is the winix 5520 a different model. I couldn't find a deal posted on slickdeals about the 5520 is why I posted it.

Yeah just search Amazon for Winix filter Q. There's several 2 set of filter packages for under 40 dollars.
