Good catch. The Gigabyte website also says this PSU is 80 PLUS Gold.

No, the V1 were, but the initial response of how their customer service handled that was, well, lackluster. It is not a bad price for a 750w PSU and white to match color oriented builds but if it was me, I'd be careful and snag the protection plan offered by amazon.
