I guess every random company is just cloning the 15+ year old Hyper 212 design now, LOL

These are probably worth $15-20 and that's it. Better than an OEM cooler if they even ship CPUs with coolers any more

Yeah if this had 5/6 heatpipes or another fan included it would be a deal but this is the same price as last week...

There are only so many ways to make heatpipe-based tower coolers.. and once an optimal solution has been figured out (i.e., the hyper 212 long ago - used one for years myself), there's really not much to improve on.

At any rate, it's good to have options because they're not always available at a reasonable price, and they're not all the same height - some cases have height restrictions that won't accommodate most 120mm tower coolers. There are a couple slightly shorter ones that can fit where others won't though, like the ID COOLING FROZN A620.

I am still using a decade old Hyper 212 on a 5800x. It still cools most modern processors just fine.
Last time I bought a Peerless Assassin v3, though. Everything was about $30 at the time, so I went with one that was a little better than the rest.

Anyone know the quality of the fan and bearing it uses?
