I tried it but I prefer the feel and build of the keychrons. Not a bad price though

Listing states tactile (AKA 'brown') switches.

Excellent price for the keyboard but least desirable switch in my opinion.

From someone who would be transitioning into mechanicals for first time, what switch color would you reccommend?

Amazing price, but IMO that's because the original price for these was outrageous. I had to use insurance to replace this model because of several non functioning keys (and the switches for these aren't exactly stocked everywhere)...and the insurance company couldn't believe it's replacement cost until I showed them the amazon listing...

I've been a huge fan of Logitech for years...literally, since the quickcam and the wingman extreme joystick days...but their stuff just isn't durable. Their support is awesome, but eventually, you just don't want to bother having to replace every mouse, keyboard, webcam, and headphone and harmony remote over and over.

Again, good support...they'll mail you a new one...but man...their stuff is like balsa wood.

The ONE exception...going on 15 years strong...is my g9x mouse. I've replaced the palm cover, but miraculously not the wire or the switches yet.

You should probably put the keyword Wired into the original post.

It really depends what you like. It's too subjective. What purpose will you be using it for? I personally like the brown and now banana switches. It's a quieter almost suppressed clicking sound. You really just have to try them all in person to know. Search on YouTube to get a better idea of the different sounds of each.

Can you not see the pictures? All but one shows the wire.

When viewing posts in the list format pictures do not show. It's best not to mislead and be as clear as possible for post descriptions.

Plus the G915 Wireless has a detachable charge cable, so technically you could use it wired. I agree with the "description should say WIRED" post as it's clarifying. Some people might not be familiar with Logitechs naming conventions and it's just more straight forward to say WIRED.

I'd go with Linear (AKA Red) switches. No noise, no specific feedback, just the quality feel of the materials.

I made the mistake of buying brown as my first mechanical and I never liked using it.

Hands down the best keyboard—it's been my daily driver in the office for the past four years, paired with the MX Master. I also use a G915 Wireless when working from home and recently picked up the G915 TKL for travel.

Its probably OK for $70. I assume refurb is fine.
I paid over a hundred and I think its not worth it. The keycaps are wobbly and the black paint wears off, so on often used keys you just see cheap white plastic.
I really like how my MX keyboard types. The keys do not wobble and the paint isn't flaking off.
