How's the quality for refurbished generally? Is it safe to buy normally?

I don't know about the rest of this laptop, but the ddr5 ram alone is probably already worth half the cost of this PC, due to AI datacenters gobbling up all the ram for the forseeable future. If you need to purchase a PC now, I'd highly recommend doing it. Otherwise, I'd wait a few years until prices start to normalize.

He's talking about a deal from last month at BestBuy for open-box units...they were around $600. In that thread, he posted that he picked one up.

How's the display on this? I can't seem to find info on it. I just had a dell laptop go bad after less then 3 years but the display was bad like 250 nits and bad viewing angles.

Didn't that version at BB have a 16" 3k screen though? Wife and I were debating on it new for her at $650 but went with the 14" HP Omnibook X instead.

No, that laptop had a 165H CPU, not the 185H this one has. This one is faster.

However, I bought the last one and returned it. The battery was dead and never charged. The fans in it also turned on while doing minimal tasks and was loud. return was easy though
