Interesting. After missing most of last year until Thanksgiving, is it back to regular this year? I hope so. It is also interesting that the deal last until 24th instead of one week.

To use the PayPal offer, do we need to order online or can we use PayPal in store?

What is a good deal item to buy at OD with the reward points earned?

At least when staples does a similar offer, it seems they carry more worthwhile items to burn the reward points on

This is a great deal for the rare person who still has any device left that hasn't been destroyed by a Duracell leaking battery.

Paper, envelopes, Bounty...anything you regularly consume anyhow.

I've had a ridiculous number of leaky Duracell batteries. I wouldn't put them in anything valuable.

Amazing how it's still prevalent. It's been years, and they still don't care enough to fix the issue? Or maybe not enough people complaining, or maybe it drains fast enough so people tend to not keep it in long. I still have an unopened pack with leak (way before expiration date) all over.

OD rewards have an expiration whereas Staples don't.

All ODs closed near me. The last time I purchased OD batteries (the last promotion) they already leaked. Glad they closed all the stores near by and curbed my urge to PM and buy batteries from them.

To be more precise: objectively, these batteries have a high probability to leak and potentially ruin your electronics. Notably, the leaks occur far before the "expiration" date if the batteries

Sources:
1) I know from multiple experiences
2) Check the similar Office Depot/Duracell SD forum posts and you'll see no shortage of similar experiences

This particular offer provides a 100% reward, and many individuals choose it because this purchase qualifies for ink recycling, which necessitates a minimum expenditure of $10. Otherwise, Costco's pricing is considerably more favorable.
