I have this mouse (using it right now) and I really hate it. The software is terrible. The mouse intermittently shuts off when I'm using it. And it happens often. I've been testing replacements but haven't found something I really like yet.

Edit: Sorry, I actually have the Basilisk v3 Pro, not this one. Apologies. They look exactly the same.

Not sure why you're downvoted- that was my first thought seeing the shape too. I've had really bad experiences with Razer Synapse software though so skeptical even if the hardware is good

Probably just the Razer fanboys not wanting to hear the truth 🤷🏻 ♂️

Do you need to use the software to use the mouse or is it for lighting?

Once upon a time, the go-to for a solid mouse was either Microsoft or Logitech. Then Microsoft left the market for all intents and purposes. And now Logitech is starting to noticeably cut corners.

Solid choices are starting to dwindle.

This mouse requires an AA battery, which makes it heavy.
Personally, I avoid any wireless mouse that doesn't have a built-in battery. My game requires rapid mouse movement, and a heavier mouse puts me at a significant disadvantage.
No disrespect but I wish my problems were this small lol

For the intermittent shutting off, it could be the battery or the connectors where the battery is making contact to the mouse.

As for replacements, have you considered a G502? Not because it's the most suggested mouse on the planet, but the Basilisk V3 looks quite similar.

I prefer the AA, use rechargeable ones and don't worry about battery replacement. Though just a light gamer.

There is third party options, even on Linux to change and control the light.

My favorite shape for a mouse is this. I have no complaints besides the horrid software that I do not load onto my system and instead use OpenRazer or OpenRGB.

I had the Razer Basilisk ultimate wireless mouse. it was a really nice mouse. except the scroll wheel broke after a year. any scrolling would make it jump around, super annoying. and their support is garbage, you're basically just out of luck. at least Logitech can have decent support.
