Looks nice for the price, but I don't think the power supply will work with any upgrades. Am I wrong?

Is skytech a good brand? Reputable? Provides frequent driver and bios updates?

I believe 750w is baseline for anything high-end. Not sure how big the market is for $1300 non-future proofed mid-tier gaming rigs when $1500 gets you high-end hardware with runway

Five or so weeks ago I would've agreed, but where is this $1500 computer now?

One example is well over the price you stated and the other is much less capable with a worse power supply.

Why get an undersized power and upgrade later? Why not just get what you need?

Performance difference between RTX 2060 vs 2070 or GTX 960 vs 970 is noticeable, but not important now. Future-proofing is often overhyped. Also high end is not $1500, more like $2500+.

Neither are good but neither is this one so if you didn't buy any of the good deals over the last 2 months, you probably want to wait on these.

Yes, there may have been better deals just weeks ago, but this is a good deal at current market prices.

I bought my first Skytech in May, very similiar specs as this one. (this has extra TB of storage). Same 650W power supply. Was a little hesitant but pulled trigger. Hope I don't jinx it but so far have had zero issues with this build from Skytech. For last 10 years plus i used AVA Direct, but their costs have gone way up.

SD has been littered with them as of late so they're all around us. If all you're after is a midrange rig for a few years, you may as well pay <$1,000

Or

But there have been much better deals and probably more to follow based on how many of these have been on sale lately.
Better get one quick. RAM, SSD and GPU prices have skyrocketed and those prices will soon be long gone.

They are a good SI. I've owned one a while ago (rtx 2070 era) and it was solid. They use off the shelf parts so driver and bios updates will come from the mobo manufacturer.

Hi could you link some of the $1500 rigs you mentioned? I am trying to build a computer and like the idea of having something with a degree of longevity. Thanks!
