This Quest brand is way too expensive. People will go broke buying them, but Amazon sure seems to be pushing them a lot.

It comes out to something like $1.25 a bar containing 18g of protein and pretty decent macros. I got the mix pack instead of this one and thought it wasn't a bad deal. Admittedly I don't eat bars every day and consider them kind of a treat. What do you suggest as a good alternative?

Can you elaborate what's nasty about them and what are healthier options? I like that it has 18g of protein in what's essentially a dessert.

I picked up a box last time they were on sale, and the inside smelled gross, like rancid meat 🤢
I still ate them, and the taste/texture was okay (worse than Pure Protein's chocolate peanut butter bars), but with plenty of other comparable protein bars to choose from, I'm going to avoid Quest like the plague from now on.

Haven't tried this flavor but the oreo crisp ones are a bit more sickly sweet than the regular bars, and not as dense in consistency. I don't mind the crisp's taste at all, but the regular bars are slightly more satisfying.

The cookies and cream ones are fire. I love the crunchy texture that other reviewers dislike so idk... YMMV lol
