Thumbs up for the post and heads up but this lock looks like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Just note this is the older version and can't be updated to matter.

They have a Yale lock on similar sale I went with it instead for a variety of reasons.

I already have both Level and Yale locks

Can you elaborate a little more about issues?
Lowe's near me has it on clearance for $50. Thinking if it's worth it or not... I already have a Yale assure 2 lock, but Level's minimalist look looks kinda nice.

Just read through the reviews on the Lowes site. Filter out the promotional reviews and you'll see complaints about battery life, touch to open not working, phone to open taking 2-3 minutes to do anything, the lock freezing up, lack of support from customer service. Stick with yale. They are pretty bulletproof and the form factor is actually not bad compared to schlage or kwickset. Unfortunately there's a good reason it's on clearance.

It's $50 at my Lowe's and the Level Bolt is also $50.

Same at mine they just reduced it, but no bolts.

I just got rid of one for a Schlage Encode Plus. The Level Lock app would not warn me of low battery, I'd find out when my wife or I were locked out. I tried manually checking the battery via app, but the app only shows "Healthy" or dead, no battery %. Apparently the lock is supposed to chime on low battery, I heard it once. The thing would die at random intervals, I couldn't even expect something like 3 months or 6 months and change the battery a month out. I wouldn't use it even for free.

When reaching out to support, they just tell you to update firmware, replace battery, and reinstall the app. None of this shit addresses the fact that they don't give you a way to check the battery % or for you to be notified. Frustrating beyond belief, especially for such an expensive item. I think I paid $250-300 new.
