Really annoyed at Konami for having separate Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions. Like... you couldn't provide a free upgrade for increased FPS and a slight resolution bump? Just so stupid and anti-consumer.

Srs. That's what Square Enix did for Final Fantasy Tactics. Easy upgrade, no fuss. Anti-consumer behavior indeed.

Konami and Nintendo have both been shady for a while now. Not sure who made the call on this.

Pretty sure the game isn't even on the cartridge for this one, it is just a digital unlock key.

I feel like Konami was done once they dumped Kojima and Igarashi and tried to go full in on pachinko and mobile gatcha.

It hurts that we will never see what a collab from Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, Junji Ito, and Norman Reedus would have produced with Silent Hills. The preteaser was a huge achievement in the horror genre on its own.

This was already like a 20 year old game when the original Switch came out. How much performance difference could there even be unless the port was absolute garbage to begin with?

You underestimate how lazy modern ports/remasters can be.

Like I'm playing ActrRaiser: Renaissance on my PC, and somehow I still get chugging FPS from time to time based on the number of special effects on-screen. This is a Gaming Desktop PC that can run Cyberpunk on medium/high settings--the fact that middling PC game can make it chug speaks more to poor optimization than anything.

Oh I know. I got Disco Elysium for Switch and it ran at 15fps so decided to wait for Switch 2 to play it. Now it runs great and crashes every 10 minutes instead.
