I generally dont like prebuilts, and buy with some level of future expandability, even if it costs more.
PS. My current laptop was upgraded from 16-32gb 2 years ago. In my normal "productivity" work load, I'm usually at just under 15GB used.
They did do a return but was a hassle.. I like this deal, but I also expect items to arrive as advertised.

Ive never seen a desktop board with less than 2 slots of ram. That said they might have put 2x 4GB sticks. If it's 1x 8GB then another stick should do fine. With the market today they might have just pulled out a stick on all their systems to sell separately.
"VIPOutlet has mixed reviews regarding its legitimacy:
Positive Aspects: Some sources indicate that VIPOutlet appears to be a legitimate and trustworthy online seller, supported by evidence of business registration and secure practices.
Negative Aspects: However, it is not BBB accredited, and many customer reviews express dissatisfaction, with a rating of only 2.9 stars from 28 reviews. Customers have reported receiving defective or used items misrepresented as new.
Trust Score: Scam Detector gives VIPOutlet a medium trust score, indicating potential high-risk activity.
In summary, while there are indications of legitimacy, customer experiences suggest caution when purchasing from VIPOutlet."
Two months ago I also purchased two solar charge controllers at a great price from vipoutlet on eBay, I was apprehensive about the seller given the great price, but they arrived just fine. I thought that was my first experience with vipoutlet, but apparently not. And it turns out in 2022 I also purchased an Instant Pot from them, so apparently I've been a repeat customer of them on eBay for a few years now.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but everything has been in new-looking condition and worked fine. But admittedly their main web store (which I've never purchased from directly) does look somewhat questionable and doesn't inspire confidence....

It gets things wrong all the time. I've caught AI trying to pass falsehoods off as fact too many times to trust it. These days I'll only use AI that provides citations and then I'll go to the source site to see what the real story is.
