Would the cable affect the seal around the door? Either during use or after prolonged use.

I just bought these two days ago. Cables are very flat and seem to very minimally affect the seal. App took some tinkering on iOS. Had to disable and reenable critical alerts after allowing them, and the same with some other feature toggles before they would work

My chest freezer died a week ago and I didn't know because it was in the corner in the garage and I lost a bunch of food. With this I could've known instantly and put the food elsewhere

I keep medication in my fridge that has to be kept at a certain temperature.

Yes people buy thermometers to measure temperature. Much more accurate than your feelings.
