Any experience anyone has on how good it is? Most I've owned over the years become unreliable and no longer hold charge ... making them a paperweight after 2-3 years.

Become a bus or truck driver if you need a reason.

Ordered one. Coupon worked, once. Does not allow to apply coupon the second time. Will see how it handles 7.3L diesel start.

I know the answer from many of you is gonna be "nobody", but is there a cheaper alternative to the strength and quality of a nocoboost jump starter? My made in China $25 jump starter failed when I needed it and the Nocos are so expensive. Thanks.

Is your issue battery or the cold? You may want to check your glow plugs/block heater if you're using it. For anyone curious: at low temps diesel gels up and will not combust properly, leading to a vehicle that won't start

These work well and will last 3-4 years if you bring them in and charge them regularly I

This brand has been rated highly by Project Farm. Actually, I think he tested this specific model (6000A). I bought it a couple years ago. Has worked well. Recently had to use the Force Start feature to jump a completely dead battery.

Thanks. Great that you were able to Force Start feature to jump a completely dead battery. Did it work fine? One of the reviews on the main page says:

It works great for jump starting a car if the battery has some juice left in it.Its useless if the battery is completely dead. It also has no real capacity to try and run something off of it for any real amount of time. Its lightweight and very handy to keep in your car and can get you out of a jam.

Do they still make jump starter batteries with a boost button? I have one from a few years ago with a boost button. First and only time i used it had to press it or the car wouldn't start. I'm not seeing it in the pictures. Maybe it's old tech and no longer needed?

This one has a "force start" button. Does the same thing

I'm no expert, but I think it depends on just how dead the battery is. I believe the Force Start feature helped a lot in my circumstance. Many of these jumpers don't have that feature and if I'm not mistaken, its possible this particular model didn't at one time. Its also possible that the negative reviewer didn't use it correctly. Who knows? I would maybe look for reviews in which people claimed success with using the Force Start.

This was able to start a Toyota Tundra with a dead battery fine.

I have Avapow A68 6000A model which is similar. It will briefly crank a 6.0 diesel when batteries are too weak to crank. However it will allow cranking for only 2-3 seconds then goes into "HT" mode and must sit for 5 min to cool off. Not ideal and not what I expected but ok for the size / weight / price.
