I haven't tried these, but just from reading the macros on it:
- It's not really a protein bar, as 20g is low for a 360 calorie bar. The general rule (for something labeled high protein) is to have 10g of protein per 100 cal.
- It's labeled as a recovery bar, so the extra carbs make sense, but 24g of sugar is high (it even says 48% of the DV). Generally, it's best to keep intake at 50g or less per day.
- Fat is a little high, but I bet this bar tastes great, and the satiety is necessary given how many calories this is. It's a big snack or something to go alongside a pretty light meal.
- 1g of fiber is low.
The bar lists protein, but it's not very high in that compared to calories. It's part of Gatorade Recover, but this mix of carbs and sugars feels more like a pre- or mid-workout snack.Leave a Comment
