No. Totally wrong.
It's called Cuktech (pronounced CHOOK) because it was named after the inventor, Slobodan Ćuk, creator of the of the Ćuk Circuit in Power electronics (DC to DC converter that steps voltage while inverting its polarity). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%86uk_converter
Apparently this is the rebranded name for ZMI, a Xiaomi company. They have a really good reputation for using quality internal components and comparing favorably to Anker. If you don't mind the name, it should be a high quality GaN charger at a great price.
The greed already set in, the new 160W wattage screen charger has massive advertisement on Bilibili (basically Chinese Youtube), and the price is unreasonably high. Also, for chargers like Cuktech, Anker, Belkin, the price at Chinese market is like 1/2 to 2/3 in US now
do you mean those brand names all cost way less in china but are sold at a higher price here in the US? Would you say this price point is what it cost to buy in china?
Banned from Amazon along with RavPower. Not sure about aukey, but RavPower sells on their website last I checked. However, the products seem like outdated tech.

Check their official YouTube channel. It's pronounced "cool tech", not chook. Wiki site is just BS these days.

The "CUK" (/tʃʊk/) in CUKTECH is the recognition of the Čuk circuit, which is a special type of DC-DC circuit topology proposed by Slobodan Čuk in 1976. The CUK circuit's high efficiency, low ripple, and flexibility not only align with the modern demand for efficient energy utilization.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest.
/tʃʊk/ = "ch" + "ook"
Also in Chinese, Cuktech Charger is spelled, "酷態科充電器 ". 酷態 is pronounced Cool (Which is the phonetic replacement for Čuk as there is no word for Čuk as its a last name in Serbian without any meaning in Chinese), So, 酷態科 is said and translated as "Cool tech" if you use Google translate but thats the Chinese translation for CukTech and since Čuktech was named after Slobodan Čuk, its "Chook" tech in Serbian / English, as the proper pronunciation to say Čuk is Chook which is lost in translation. Yeah yeah Wikipedia is fake, as long as its against what you believe but true if its reassurance of what you already believe, a great example of cognitive dissonance.
