B580 100% given this only has 8gb memory.

5060. You can look up benchmark videos -- 5060 performs better in most games. Add in features like DLSS and 5060 is the clear winner.

It depends. The B580 is slightly slower but has more VRAM.

The bigger issue is the compatibility though. If you play a lot of older games, the nvidia card may be a better choice than the ARC card. I wrote a more thorough detail of the compatibility issues in another post that I can share if you need that.

Intel has come a long way, but this card will outperform the ARC in 95% of games.

So you are suggesting going from a 3050 to a 5060 is going to be a downgrade? Thats like double the power but whatever makes you feel better about waiting to upgrade your Voodoo2. LOL....

Nonsense aside, this appears to be dead, in Central NC at least. The OC version appears to still be in stock @ $260. But from my understanding isn't much of a difference either way IRL clocks / performance. I'd probably still pay $10 for the OC though.

Try to keep up. He asked about this vs a b580 card.

Try and keep up yourself. If they have been rocking a 3050 for YEARS, then the 5060 will be a huge step up regardless if the B580 was ever considered as an alternate. LOL

Ain't reading comprehension fun!

Yeah, I've been using the 3050 for years. I know the 5060 isn't some glamorous upgrade, but it's basically twice as good as what I'm used to. Lots of GPU snobs ok Slickdeals apparently.. I personally refuse to drop crazy $$$ on a GPU.

LOL, these crazy cats go a decade between upgrades then chastise anyone for not buying top of the line when they don't either.....they don't buy ANYTHING yet troll these threads endlessly gatekeeping.

FWIW, I'm like you. Looking for a upgrade but not willing to pay $500-600 for the extra few gigs of ram that only a few current games even demand and only at max settings. $250 is likely to get me a 30% boost in performance and newer tech, and I can likely sell my old card to recoup most of my upgrade costs.

Best part is our upgrades are infinitely better (literally) vs the hypothetical card they'll never actually own.
